آدم‌ها به طور کلی به یکی از این دو دسته تعلق دارند٬ ولی نسبت آن‌ها مساوی نیست. بیش از ۷۰ درصد از مردم دنیا در دسته‌ی نخست جای می‌گیرند. این‌گونه شاید بتوان دنیا را دنیای آدم‌های ‌Sensing خواند. البته این تقسیم‌بندی به این معنا نیست که انسان‌ها به طور مطلق رفتارهای یک دسته را نشان می‌دهند٬ بلکه به این معناست که بیشتر اوقات خصوصیات متعلق به دسته‌ی خود را نشان می‌دهند و البته که شدت و درجه‌ی آن بین افراد متفاوت است.
